Uns ist ein Kind geboren is a Christmas cantata which was formerly attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach as his BWV 142, but was most likely composed by his predecessor in Leipzig, Johann Kuhnau, around 1720.[1]

Scoring and structure

The cantata is scored for three soloists, alto, tenor and bass, four part choir, two recorders, two oboes, two violins, viola and basso continuo.
